Brendan Kapteina

Brendan is from Stamford, CT and grew up playing Stamford Youth Hockey. He played his high school career at Fairfield Prep where he held the title of Assistant Captain his senior year and helped lead the team to a State Championship. He played an additional few years of Junior Hockey with the Boston Bulldogs. Brendan has over 20 years coaching experience, previously coaching for Mid-Fairfield (Mite through Peewee level) and Greenwich High School. The 2024/25 season will be his first year coaching in the RiverHawks organization.

Daniel Miressi

Daniel grew up in Monroe, CT and graduated from Trumbull High School in 2007 where he was a four-year letterman in Varsity Hockey.

Following an accomplished High School hockey career, Daniel went on to Framingham State University where he majored in History with a minor in Education. He was a member and instrumental leader of the Framingham State Rams Men’s Ice Hockey Team (NCAA Division III), where he was a three-time All American Hockey Player, a three-time All Conference (MASCAC) Hockey Player, an NCAA All Academic recipient, and named the 2010 NCAA Division III Rookie of the Year Award.

Daniel went on to play professionally in the minor-leagues with stints in the East Coast Hockey League, the Southern Professional Hockey League, and the Federal Prospects Hockey League.

2023-24 will be the first season for Daniel coaching a RiverHawk Team!
