Players that are 8 and under
In general, participants have skated Travel or has at least one year of D-League/House experience. Player should be able to skate backwards, do forward crossovers and be able to do a hockey stop. Typically, the team practices two to three nights a week and has one home and one away game each weekend. All Mite games are cross ice format. In addition, the team will compete in several tournaments. The Connecticut RiverHawks Hockey Club plans on having both A and B Travel Teams at ALL age levels with an additional teams depending on interest. Travel hockey is competitive hockey and is a commitment by both the child and his/her parents or guardian. Travel is open to all boys and girls.
